PURPLE MANIA & STRING LADIES

When guitar riffs meet strings, rock history takes on a whole new dimension.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Purple Mania & String Ladies will bring the sound of Deep Purple to the Grand Casino Basel—powerful, rich in detail, and with surprising arrangements.

"Highway Star" unleashes its unbridled energy, "Burn" kicks in with full force, and "Perfect Strangers " gains an extra layer of depth thanks to the strings. Classics like "Child in Time " and "Smoke on the Water " are also part of the Prague tribute band's repertoire.

Distinctive guitars, punchy keyboards, and a driving rhythm section meet the violin and cello. The String Ladies do more than just accompany: they pick up on melodies, provide counter-melodies, and create new layers of tension between the rock band and the string sound.

The result is a concert evening that pays tribute to Deep Purple while respecting the original and, at the same time, developing its own musical perspective.
